Bone Char’s Superiority For Removing Heavy Metals
Column tests using OILSORB organoclay, zeolite (clinoptilolite) and bone char (hydroxy apatite) were conducted at the University of Virginia to determine the capacity of each sorbent for adsorbing heavy metals by ion exchange.
Water was saturated with six metals simultaneously and passed through each sorbent column.
