EC-MB (hydroxy-apatite)
This is a hydroxy-apatite derived from bone char. It is very effective for the removal of heavy metals. Its strength lies in the fact that it resists the negative effects of hardness in the water on its ability to remove heavy metals. All other Sorbents do not have this capability, except for ion-specific resins, which are very costly.
Column tests have shown that EC-MB bone char can remove 0.5% of its weight of “ARSENATE” from water and fluoride are removed at 0.5% by weight. Some regeneration is possible. Ask us for the report.
It is advisable to add a tank of granular activated carbon after the EC-MB.
